A 33-year-old woman from Sunnyside is facing charges after police were contacted by a homeowner who found a woman inside their home.
Clarenville RCMP were contacted on Sunday afternoon.
RCMP say the suspect had entered the home and was confronted by an occupant, before fleeing the scene. The two people where known to each other.
Officers located Michelle Ellis at a nearby home. She refused to comply with police commands to come outside and a warrant was needed in order for police to enter the home and have her arrested.
Ellis is facing a number of charges including failing to comply with a probation order and resisting arrest.
- Being unlawfully in a dwelling house.
- Fail to comply with a Probation Order – two counts.
- Fail to comply with a Release Order.
- Resisting or obstructing a police officer.
