Indigenous women from across the province gathered in St. John’s last week to share their experiences, and identify measures needed to improve the quality of life in their communities.

The 21st Annual Provincial Indigenous Women’s Gathering was attended by Health Minister and Minister Responsible for Indigenous Affairs, Lela Evans.

This year’s gathering was focused on the healthcare system.

Evans says she will continue to ensure that the voices of Indigenous women are heard and considered in government decision making.
